UTStarcom to Deploy IPTV Infrastructure for Bharti Airtel

According to Chinese UTStarcom's press release, the company has been selected by Indian telecom Bharti Airtel to deploy IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) infrastructure for the telecom's planned IPTV service. UTStarcom is expected to provide the headend and digital set-top boxes for Bharti. Bharti's IPTV service is slated to be launched in December 2007.
